Born and raised in the Midwest and descended from a family of sharecroppers in Cotton Plant, Arkansas, Nina is a self-taught acrylic artist whose work is a vibrant intersection of history, spirituality, culture, and lived experience.

Artist Statement
I have always enthused over the way things looked and are seen by the human eye and the way things feel in creation. Art has given me the space and desire for expressing myself creatively. I have a love for the process of turning a blank page into something that reflects the world around me. Art is therapy and it is a connection to outer worlds; I started drawing and creating at a young age. Using my imagination to journey into different dimensions and cosmos of my mind and psyche. “Thoughts become things” I bring my passion and love to my pieces!
